The Director
A world traveler, singer, dancer, and actor, Isiah Harper has performed and directed on stages across America and Europe. A GHSA certified theatre adjudicator, a member of the Educational Theatre Association, the National Dance Educational Organization, the National Council of Teachers of English, National Educators Association, and the Professional Association of Georgia Educators "Harper" as everyone calls him has an informal way teaching young adults to love not only theatre, but the arts as a whole.
Having served on the boards of: the former Human Experience Theatre, Girls Inc., The Columbus Ballet, The Columbus Jazz Society, and the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts; Harper teaches both how to be a performer and a patron. If there is something you would like to do, he will find a way to help you.
Isiah is trained in English Education and Dance at Florida State University, with classes in Theatre Education at Columbus State University. He has taught at NHS since 2002, and has served as a guest choreographer and dance instructor for various studios and conservatories throughout the Chattahoochee valley area.
If Isiah is not at NHS working with his drama babies, he can be found at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in the choir.
